This home page documents the descendants of a man probably named
Alexander (?) Gilfillan (born abt. 1735), originally of Scotland, later
of the Derry region of Northern Ireland. His grandson, Robert
Gilfillan, came from Northern Ireland to York County, South Carolina,
about 1822, and married Grizzella McCully.
